Professional and Community Engagement

Project Director for Alberta Climate Dialogue (ABCD), a five-year project, begun in 2010, exploring how direct participation by citizens in problem solving and decision making processes can enhance Alberta responss to climate change.  The work is funded by a $1 million SSHRC CURA grant along with about $3 million in cash and in-kind contributions from universities and community organizations. 

Organized and facilitated community dialogues around issues of disability, contribution, and inclusion, in coalition with a range of NGOs and disability organizations (2003, 2004, 2005)

Speak and work with civil servants and public organizations around democratic consultation and dialogue (e.g. Alberta Teacher's Association, Alberta Environment, civil servants from Alberta and Saskatchewan, Self-Advocacy Federation of Alberta).
